Dripping Springs

Hamilton Pool

Hamilton Pool, located in Dripping Springs, is one of the most gorgeous sites in all of Texas (and maybe the world). A visit to the 200-acre Hamilton Pool Preserve will take you to another planet filled with beautiful vegetation and a diversity of animal species. The pool, a geological marvel, was produced by thousands of years of water erosion, which resulted in a collapsed grotto, gorges, and a breathtaking cascade. Hamilton Creek, located 3/4 mile upstream from its confluence with the Pedernales River, cascades over limestone outcroppings to form a 50-foot waterfall as it plunges into the head of a steep box canyon.

Reimers Ranch

A visit to Reimers Ranch will place you right on the banks of the Pedernales River, with 3 miles of river frontage to explore. The park, which spans over 2,400 acres, provides access to over 18 miles of hiking and bike paths. After you've worked up a sweat, you may unwind by swimming in the cold, clear river.
